About me

Bridget Leggett is a trained Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse and Primary School Teacher. She is a mother of 3 and has over 25yrs experience working with newborns & mothers and children & families.

I have always loved littlies and at 21, when I graduated as a registered nurse, I knew my passion would be with working with children.

After graduating, I secured a position in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Wellington Womens’ Hospital. I continued to work as an intensive care nurse for babies for the next 17 years in New Zealand and the Middle East.

Before leaving for Dubai in 2007, I gave birth to my twins Francesca (Frankie) and Archie. I had my youngest daughter Tallulah-Belle in Dubai in 2008. We spent 2 years in the UAE before coming back in NZ to settle in Canterbury.

I was lucky enough to stay at home with my children until just after the CHC earthquakes when I went back to the NICU in CHC Womens’ Hospital.

It was around this time that I decided to put nursing on hold and go back to school. I enrolled at Canterbury University I earned myself a Degree in Teaching and Learning. During this time my children started school and life was very busy!

During my time teaching I have worked with all age groups from New Entrants to Year 8.
