Feeding Issues

How and what you are going to feed your baby can be a big decision for many new mothers. Whatever choice you make, I am able to help and support you and your baby to thrive.

It is important to be able to read your babies cues and understand when they are hungry or when they are just plain tired out and need sleep.

It is also important if you choose to breastfeed, your baby is latching correctly and feeding adequate volumes. Latching and feeding well isn’t always easy, especially if mother has flat nipples or baby has a tongue tie or is fussy.

Sometimes a specialist lactation consultant may be required.

If a mother chooses to formula feed there are many decisions to make around the type of formula and bottles you will need to most suit your baby.

To support mothers with feeding, my packages include;

  • Understanding hunger cues

  • Discussion with mum about choices for feeding

  • Breastfeeding/bottle feeding

  • Feeding a fussy baby

  • Swaddling for feeding

  • Winding and spilling

  • Cholic and reflux
